Lady Tiger spikers sweep Monett

The Nevada Lady Tiger varsity and junior varsity volleyball teams drilled Monett Thursday night, sweeping a pair of Big 8 Conference West division road matches.

Nevada's varsity spikers rolled to a quick two-set victory — 25-10, 25-13. The victory improved Nevada to 17-4-1, and 2-0 in Big 8 West-play.

Stat leaders for Nevada included Lindy Smith with 17 assists, Stacy Pennington five aces, four kills, and four digs; Lani Coonrod four aces and three digs; and Lindly Ferry with a half-dozen kills.

Nevada junior varsity spikers were also victorious in two sets, improving to 15-1 over.

Nevada returns to the court Oct. 10 for a Big 8 Conference West division clash with visiting East Newton.
