Paul Albert Burnham Jr.

Paul Albert Burnham Jr., age 77, of Nevada, Mo., passed away on Sept. 30, 2020, at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Mo. He was born Jan 28, 1943, in Flora, Ill., to Paul Albert Burnham and Helen Ray (Ellis) Burnham.

Paul was a U.S Navy veteran, had worked in construction for many years, and was a very dedicated pastor as well.

He was well known for his sense of humor, generosity, and outgoing personality.

Paul was preceded in death by his wife of many years, Florence (Deeds) Burnham; and his sisters, Pauline Burnham, Mabel Speagle, Opal Rider, and Dora Beachner.

He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Paul is survived by one daughter, Sandra Roberts, of Lamar, Mo.; one son, Bruce Burnham, of Nevada, Mo.; three sisters, Sharon Thompson, of Orange Park, Fla., Juanita Beachner of Mandeville La., and Virginia Harper of Oak Grove, Mo.; as well as grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Honoring Paul’s request, there will not be a memorial service. Interment will be at Eldon City Cemetery in Eldon, Mo., where his wife Florence was also buried.

Arrangements are being handled by Florence’s daughter Linda Findlay.
