Vernon County Health Department to give COVID-19 update Tuesday

The Nevada Daily Mail reached out to the Vernon County Health Department for an update Monday on the county's COVID-19 statistics.

"We've got one nurse here and we got swamped with flu shots today — we really just haven't had time to do it," stated Vernon County Health Department Administrator Steve Durnell. "I'm hoping first thing, tomorrow (Tuesday), it will be out."

The health department had previously stated they would release updates every Monday, but with flu shots and an influx of positive COVID-19 cases, it has been difficult to keep up.

"Keeping up right now is just next to impossible," he noted.

The update from the health department will be in the Wednesday edition of the Daily Mail.
