Rosalee Juanita Kirby
Rosalee Juanita Kirby, 94, passed away at her home in Nevada, MO, on Saturday Dec. 19, 2020. Rosalee was born on May 14, 1926 in Milo, MO to John and Iva (Pabor) Rutherford. She married Roy Kirby on March 29, 1948 in Ft. Scott, KS and he preceded her in death on Feb. 17, 2002.
Rosalie grew up in rural Sheldon, MO and attended the Phillips School in Vernon County. She has lived in Nevada for the past 25 years and worked in housekeeping at Nevada City Hospital for a number of years.
Survivors include her companion of 16 years, Donald Chadd, Sr. of the home; her children, Jim Kirby and his wife Denise, Denver, CO, Linda Hoeschen and her husband Joe, Colorado Springs, and Bob Kirby, Plano, TX; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and her adopted family, Don Chadd, Jr., Nevada, Neota Chadd of the home, and Bob Chadd, Rich Hill, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Betty Wheeler, sons, Ronald Kirby, infant son Jerry Kirby, and siblings, John Rutherford, Andy May, and Nellie.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Olive Branch Cemetery, Milo, MO with Pastor Chad Bailey officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:30 p.m. prior to the graveside service.
Contributions may be made in Rosalie’s memory to Olive Branch Cemetery in care of Ferry Funeral Home.
At this time there is no longer a statewide limitation on the number of people attending funerals or visitations, however those in attendance will be asked to maintain social distancing, and that people are asked to wear face masks to protect themselves and others.
