Mischelle (Shelly) Mejia
Mischelle Mejia, 57, passed away Dec. 26, 2020, at her home in Cedar Park, Texas.
She was born Jan. 9, 1963, in Topeka, Kan., to Edward Denny David and Joy Mitchum.
Shelly, as she preferred, was a lover of music. She settled in Austin, Texas, in 1985 where she met the love of her life Remigio Mejia. Shelly was a founding member of the band "Haywire."
Shelly is survived by two daughters from a previous marriage, Holly Diane Hallam (Cory), and Amy Joy Williams (Jeffrey) both who reside in Nevada, Mo.; eight grandchildren (seven of Nevada, MO., and one of Austin, Texas); mother, Joy Hargrove, of Austin, Texas; and two sisters, Nicole David of Austin, Texas, and Amanda Chick of Yelm, Wash. She is also survived by Nancy David of Olympia, Wash.; two nephews of Austin, Texas; one niece of Yelm, Wash.; and one aunt, Brenda Seaver, of Nevada, Mo.
Shelly is preceded in death by her husband, Remigio Mejia; their son, Benjamin Mejia; her father, Denny David; and one grandson, Jacob Ellifrits.
