Cottey volleyball ousted from first NAIA tourney

The Central Methodist University volleyball team welcomed Cottey College to its first-ever NAIA National Championship tournament with a 25-14, 25-5, 25-12 sweep in the opening round Saturday in Fayette.

The Eagles will open pool play against Eastern Oregon and Bethel starting next Tuesday in Sioux City, Iowa.

The Comets finished the season 10-17.
