Tigers football camps set for later this month

Saturday, July 3, 2021

Nevada High School head football coach Wes Beachler is ready to start training the Tigers of the future.

His staff and players, as well as coaches from Nevada Middle School, will be conducting two camps later this month to teach the fundamentals of football to any students entering grades 3-8. Both camps will take place on the practice field adjacent to Logan Field.

The first one will be the Nevada Tigers Youth Football Camp running from 10-11:45 a.m. July 20-22, and is open to all students entering grades 3-6 in the 2021-2022 school year. Cost will be $20 and includes a Tiger T-shirt and Powerade at the camp.

The Nevada Tigers Middle School Football Camp will be exclusively for students entering grades 7 and 8 for the 2021-2022 school year, and will take place from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. July 26-29. Cost for this camp will also be $20 and includes a shirt and Powerade.

Parents of interested players can pre-register by mailing a registration/waiver form to Coach Beachler at the High School, or register on the day of the start of each camp (starting at 9:15 a.m. July 20 for the youth camp, or at 9:30 a.m. July 26 for the middle school camp).

Participants are asked to bring their own football cleats or athletic shoes, shorts, and a T-shirt.
