Thanks to more donations from an ever-growing list of sponsors, the second annual Screamin' Lehmann Memorial will award higher payouts than originally planned for several races Saturday night at Nevada Speedway.

As of Friday, the top prize for the event's 40-lap Street Stocks feature race had climbed to $3,781 — with second place set to take home $1,071 and third place winning $571.

The top 18 finishers in Street Stocks will walk away with at least $150, plus there will be other bonuses up for grabs.

In honor of Karl "Screamin'" Lehmann, who for many years circled Nevada's dirt track — and found himself in its victory lane — in a no. 71 Street Stocks race car before he died on Christmas Day 2019, the driver who pulls the 71st draw pill on Saturday will automatically win $171.

Additionally, the "hard charger" in the Street Stocks feature will pick up an extra $71 for advancing the most positions in the race, while the "tough luck" driver in the event will score $25.

The 71st car in any class to sign up on Saturday will win $50 — with winners of those races earning 71-themed payouts as well as track points (which will not be awarded in Street Stocks).

The B-Mods and Pure Stocks races will each have $371 on the line. Midwest Mods, meanwhile, will pay out $271 to the driver who takes that checkered flag. The top prize in Mini Stocks and Outlaw 4-Cylinders will be $171.

The event, which is expected to draw one of the biggest crowds of the summer, will open gates at 4:30 p.m. Hot laps will start at 7 p.m., with racing to follow.
