Three returning state qualifiers and two state hopefuls have been practicing at Frank E. Peters Golf Course these past two weeks to prepare for the 2021 Nevada High School girls golf season.

While senior Katie Pennington, junior Riley Severance, and sophomore Paige Hertzberg will each be vying for their second trips to the MSHSAA state championship, senior Libby Barrett and freshman Emree Cameron also have their sights set on a successful season — the former to conclude her high school career and the latter to begin hers.

The Lady Tigers' season will tee off Sept. 1 at a tournament hosted by Springfield Catholic.

A full season preview for NHS golf (and all area fall sports teams) is coming soon.
