Kenneth "Kyle" Conway
Kenneth "Kyle" Conway, 90, passed away Saturday, Aug. 28, 2021, in Independence, Mo., at the Groves. The youngest of five children, Kyle was born Jan. 4, 1931, in Minneapolis, Minn., to Pat and Violet Conway.
Kyle was married to the love of his life, Anna Marie Conway, Aug. 22, 1957, at the Stone Church in Independence, Mo. They resided in Independence off and on during their marriage with stints in Nevada, Mo., Central California, Jefferson City, Mo., Lake St. Louis, Mo., the San Francisco Bay area, and ultimately back in Independence where they concluded their 58-year marriage in 2015 by the passing of Anna Marie. Kyle started off his professional career teaching Art in North KC and was an accomplished silver smith winning awards for his jewelry. He later went into special education and mental health work. He was a high priest in the Community of Christ Church (former RLDS). He and his wife Anna Marie spent their life in service to others following the teachings of Jesus Christ.
They were blessed with two children, a daughter, Elizabeth, born in 1958 and a son, Patrick, in 1961. Kyle and Anna Marie provided ministry throughout their life together of the spoken word and music wherever they lived and after becoming empty nesters continued to do so traveling throughout the U.S. wherever they might be needed. Kyle is preceded in death by his wife, Anna Marie Conway; brother, John T. Conway; sister, Patricia Lindamood; brother, Walter Conway; and sister, Phyllis Christenson. He is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Conway and her spouse, Susan Moitoza, of Fishers, Ind.; and his son, Patrick Conway and his spouse, Thaylia Smith Conway, of Kansas City. He also leaves behind many dozens of nieces and nephews; and a sister-in-law, Julie Conway Sword (wife to his late brother, Walter Conway).
