NMS volleyball eases past East Newton

The Nevada Middle School volleyball team bounced back from a sweep at the hands of Webb City on Monday by winning three of four against East Newton on Tuesday.

The Lady Tigers struggled against the Cardinals — with the eighth-grade A team falling 25-10, 25-7; the eighth-grade B team losing 25-8, 25-8; the seventh-grade A team going down 15-25, 19-25; and the seventh-grade B team dropping its match 25-10, 25-12.

But things went much smoother for them against the Patriots — highlighted by wins by the seventh-grade A team (26-24, 26-28, 15-6), eighth-grade A team (25-23, 25-19), and eighth-grade B team (25-10). The seventh-grade B team lost its set, 25-18.
