Leslie “Scott” Smith

Leslie “Scott” Smith, 40, Nevada, Mo., passed away on Saturday, Sept. 25, 2021, at Nevada Regional Medical Center, in Nevada. Scott was born Dec. 15, 1980, in Joplin, Mo., to Steven L. and Pamela J. (Rayburn) Smith.

Scott was raised in the Bronaugh area. He graduated from Bronaugh High School Class of 1999. For the past four years he has resided in Fort Scott.

Survivors include his mother, Pamela, of the home; two sisters, Christine Martinez, Fort Scott, and Heather Durosette (Mike), Nevada, Mo.; nephew and nieces, Logan Smith, Fort Scott, Colton Lambott, Nevada, Mo., Cameron Smith, Fort Scott, and Haley Smith, Nevada, Mo.; several great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Steven L. Smith.

A private graveside service will be held on Thursday, Sept. 30, at Newton Burial Park in Nevada.
