NHS volleyball sweeps Monett
The Nevada High School volleyball team left Monett Tuesday evening with a clean sweep.
The Lady Tigers varsity squad held off the Lady Cubs' comeback bid in the third set for a 25-16, 25-11, 25-22 victory.
Emma Leisure recorded 17 digs and four aces, Kyrsten Owen added 18 assists, and Trinity Gayman had eight kills and four blocks.
The junior varsity and freshmen teams also left unscathed with wins by identical scores: 25-11 and 25-12.
The Lady Tigers (7-13-1) will next compete on Saturday a tournament hosted by El Dorado Springs.
NMS V-BALL SPLITS WITH JOPLIN
The Nevada Middle School volleyball team went 1-1 against Joplin on Tuesday, with the seventh-grade B squad winning 25-15, 22-25, 15-13 and the eighth-grade B team losing 20-25, 25-22, 8-15.
