BRONAUGH — The Bronaugh High School volleyball team may have gone 0-2 against Miami and Northeast Vernon County on Dig Pink and Senior Night Friday, but head coach Whitney Hinkle marked it down as a win in her book.

"My girls made the most out of our last home game of the season tonight by playing as a team and just enjoying the little wins along the way," stated Hinkle, whose squad lost 3-0 to both visiting teams in the triangular. "It was still a win in my book to see my girls happy and enjoying the games."

The Lady Knights, meanwhile, dominated the Lady Eagles 25-11 in the opening set of their match — but Miami, which beat NEVC just a few days earlier in the championship of a tournament, was somehow able to take the next three sets and the match to go 2-0 on the night.

In addition to getting to wear tie-dyed pink uniforms, the Lady Cats honored their two seniors, Josie Banes and Nicole Hagerman.

"Josie and Nicole have been a joy to coach," Hinkle stated. "They both give it their all out on the court and never give up each and every game. Their leadership and athleticism has been a huge asset to our team, and I’m grateful for their dedication this season."
