Frances Louise Belcher

Frances Louise Belcher, 92, Nevada, Mo., passed away on Monday, Jan. 24, 2022, at her home in Nevada. Louise was born April 21, 1929, in Fresno, Calif., to Samuel Henry and Maude Ethel (Pike) Yurk.

Louise came to Nevada with her family at an early age. She grew up and attended school in Nevada. Following high school, she worked at a seamstress at Nellie Don in Nevada until retiring in 1981. She was a member of the Lutheran Church in Fort Scott.

Survivors include one son, Dwight Belcher (Christie), Fort Scott, Kan.; seven grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Dwain Belcher; three brothers, Raymond Yurk, Sam Yurk, and Bill Yurk; one sister, Betty Overton; and a daughter-in-law, Christie Belcher.
