Nevada Tiger Boy's golf team has done great things in new year
The Nevada Golf team is content where they are as of now in the season. When I asked Head Coach for the Nevada Tiger golf team Brian Leonard on what he likes about his group this season, he gave a great answer. “These guys have been playing in some very unfavorable weather,” said Leonard. “They have given 100% every outing. We had this last Friday off, but we had the Bird Dog Invitational this past Monday at Carl Junction.”
Senior Owen Swearingen is probably the team's main guy for the golf team, but who have been some surprise players who have come out of Owens shadow this year? Coach Leonard said, “Cordell Cox and Preston Drake have been hovering at the century mark for their scores. Some improvements that our team can make before seasons end and District play begins are our short game with mainly needing to work on chipping.”
The Boys Nevada Tiger golf team will be taking on the Frank E. Peters golf course in their home town of Nevada, Mo., this upcoming Thursday, starting at 4:30 p.m.
