Jonathon Matthew Lathrop-Sauerbrey
Jonathon Matthew Lathrop-Sauerbrey, 40, passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at his home in Colorado Springs, Colo. Jonathon was born June 29, 1981, in Independence, Mo. He was united in marriage to Robert K. Sauerbrey on June 12, 2021 in Colorado and he survives of the home.
Jonathon was raised in Nevada, Mo., and attended Nevada Schools, Class of 2000. He was an avid lover of music and enjoyed singing. Jonathon loved the Lord and had a heart for helping others. He also loved animals, especially his dog, Solomon, and his mom’s dog, Oreo (whom he called “Sister”). Jonathon worked in the auto transport service having his own business and worked with several dealers in the Colorado Springs area.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Bill and Evelyn Dickey; and several cousins. In addition to his husband, Jonathon is survived by his mom, Anita Moore and stepdad, Shirold Moore of Nevada; his dad, James White, Liberty, Mo.; father-in-law, Kim Sauerbrey, Colorado Springs, Colo.; his brother, Jason Lathrop, Belton, Mo.; stepbrothers, Dan Moore (Angela), Nevada, and Tyler Moore (Cassie), Springfield, Mo.; half-sister, Abbie Basse, Liberty, Mo.; half-brothers, David White, Liberty, Mo., and Travis Swanson, Phoenix, Ariz.; aunt, Pam Godsey (Chuck), Nevada; uncle, Bill Dickey (Ladena), Stockton, Mo.; and several nephews, nieces, cousins, and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, June 25, at Ferry Funeral Home, in Nevada, with Pam Godsey officiating. Interment will follow in Liberal City Cemetery, Liberal, Mo. Friends may call now and until the hour of service at Ferry Funeral Home.
Memorials are suggested in his name to the Lupis Foundation in care of Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada.
