Nevada Fire Department responds to structure fire Monday evening

The Nevada Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at 622 S. Cedar St., on Monday evening. Upon arrival, smoke was seen coming from the front of the house. All occupants were already out of the structure.

The quick actions of the fire crews resulted in the fire being extinguished and overhauled in a timely manner. At this time, the cause of the fire is still under investigation.

The Nevada Fire Department was on the scene for less than an hour with four apparatus and 10 personnel. No injuries were reported as a result of the fire.
