City of Nevada implements temporary 'No Parking' zone for construction project
Effective Thursday, July 6, a temporary "No Parking" zone will be implemented on the south side of the 300 block of West Cherry Street, adjacent to City Hall.
Nevada City Manager Mark Mitchell revealed in a press release that this alteration is in preparation for the forthcoming Adams Street construction project, which will impact the response route of the Fire and Police Departments.
To ensure smooth emergency services operations, a new Public Safety emergency and non-emergency route has been established along Cherry Street to Ash Street. Motorists are strongly urged to exercise caution while driving and remain vigilant for emergency vehicles, particularly at the intersection of Cherry Street and Ash Street during the construction project.
Further details and additional road closures related to the Adams Street construction project will be announced in the coming weeks. It is advised that residents and commuters stay updated on the forthcoming information to make necessary adjustments to their travel plans.
