Fermon "Lyle" Rousseau Jr.
Lyle was born in a small white house off of South Washington Street, in Nevada, Mo., on Sept. 27, 1935. He passed away June 10, 2023, at Mercy Hospital, in Joplin, Mo., following a long illness.
He was preceded in death by mother and father, Revilla and Fermon Rousseau Sr. He is survived by a sister, Nancy and husband Rob Carr, of Washington; three children, Brenda Rousseau, of Washington, Brian and wife Sharon Rousseau, of Oregon, and Becky Merry; and lots of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Lyle graduated high school in Yakima, Wash., and served in the Army in Korea. He was in sales most of his life — O'Sullivan Industry in Lamar and Walmart meat department, where he retired.
Lyle loved hunting and fishing, but most of all people and family.
Lyle was also survived by life-long companion, Loretta Brown, of the home; special daughter, Rebecca Putnal, of Nevada, Mo.; and son, Devin Brown, of Liberal.
We will miss all his smiles, kindness, and love to all.
