Richard Shannon Donnell

Richard Shannon Donnell, 49, of Lowry City, Mo., passed away on July 11, 2023, at Moore County Hospital in Dumas, Texas.

Shannon was born on Oct. 16, 1973, in Marshall, Mo. He was an over-the-road truck driver. Shannon married April James in July of 2009.

His survivors include his wife, April of the home; three children, Lane Donnell of Lowry City, Mo., Diamond Donnell of Dodge City, Kan., and Camron Donnell of Lawton, Okla.; a stepdaughter, Shawna (Kandon) Selby of El Dorado Springs; his mother and stepfather, Ruby and Mike Parson of Nevada, Mo.; two sisters, Heidi (Jon) Wolfe of Webb City, Mo., and Victoria Edds of Chillicothe, Mo.; and three stepbrothers and their families. The joys of his life were his three grandchildren, Kyson and Kynsley of El Dorado Springs, and Christopher of Dodge City, Kan. Shannon also had many friends, new and old, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, nieces and nephews. He loved his dogs, Chucky, Rose, Huckleberry, Yogi, and Wendy.

He was preceded in death by three fur babies, Sugar, Chaos, and Skippy.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Vernon County Humane Society or Vernon County Cancer Relief.
