Robert “Bob” Lee Marcum

Robert “Bob” Lee Marcum, 86, of Nevada, Mo., passed away on Friday, Sept. 1, 2023, from complications of dementia.

Bob was born June 22, 1937, in Columbus, Ind. He was raised in West Sacramento, Calif., where he lived most of his life. Bob, a veteran of the United States Army, was stationed at the Berlin Wall for a year and half in Germany. During this time, he earned many medals and badges of honor. Following his return from the service, he began a career as an owner/operator truck driver where he won “Driver of the Year” several years in a row.

Bob was preceded in death by his mother and father, two sisters, a brother, and his eldest grandson, Robert James White. He is survived by his loving wife, Beth Marcum; his only child, Kimberly Chorjel; his grandchildren, Joannie Chorjel, Ricky White and his wife and two children; and his late grandson’s wife and two children.

Bob was a very strong man with strong values and was loved by so many. He will be missed.
