Dennis Leroy Davis

Dennis Leroy Davis, Jr., 55, Nevada, MO passed away on Monday, December 04, 2023 in Nevada following a lengthy illness. Dennis was born December 7, 1967 in Kansas City, MO to Dennis L. and Catherine J. (Jackson) Davis, Sr. He married Carrie L. Lawson on June 6, 2006 in Nevada, MO and she survives.

Dennis was raised in Harwood, MO and attended Walker Schools. Throughout his life, Dennis worked as a truck driver, including working at MFA Propane for 6 years prior to his illness. Dennis was trained in martial arts, he enjoyed fishing, cooking, and singing. But most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife Carrie, survivors include: a daughter, Ashten Kerr, Nevada, three sons, Chance Davis, and his son Malachi Davis, Nevada, Dakota Davis (Lindsay Redman), and their sons, Oliver Halcom, and Hyde Davis, Lamar, and Thomas Davis, Nevada; his mother, Catherine Atwell (Robb), Rockville, MO; step-mother, Frances Davis, Alvarado, TX; a brother, Lonnie Davis (Noel), Nevada; three sisters, Cathy Graham (Kent), Stockton, MO, Denise Nation (Ryan), Windsor, MO, and Rhonda Conard, Carthage, MO; and numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Dennis Davis, Sr., and a brother-in-law, T.C. Conard.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada. The family will receive friends from 2-3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
