LeeAnn Woodfill Mitchell
LeeAnn Woodfill Mitchell, 70, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, December 22, 2024, after a courageous 18-year battle with Parkinson’s disease. She was born on July 23, 1954, in Nevada, Missouri, to Robert and Marilee Woodfill and was the oldest of four sisters.
LeeAnn's life was defined by love, devotion, and strength. She met her high school sweetheart, Myles Mitchell, when she was just 16 years old. Together, they built a beautiful life over 51 years of marriage. They raised four children: Andrew D. Mitchell (Jessica), Ryan C. Mitchell (Kaitlin), Alicia A. Gage (John), and Leah K. Combs (Rusty). LeeAnn was also a proud grandmother to 19 grandchildren: Lane, Logan, Ethan, Reid, Brooks, Mitchell, Eli, Lyla, Knox, Miah, Luke, Jay, Karlee, Titus, Judah, Mekhi, Tatum, Brock, and Elliot, and two great-grandchildren, Weston and JD.
In addition to her immediate family, LeeAnn is survived by her three sisters: Mary Pat Rosenthal (Scott), Susan Siracusa, and Mindy Chism (Jay), as well as her brother-in-law, Wade Mitchell (Gerri), and their spouses, numerous nieces, nephews, and friends who will deeply miss her warmth, kindness, and infectious smile.
Throughout her life, LeeAnn demonstrated unwavering love and commitment to her family, always putting their needs above her own. Despite the challenges of Parkinson’s disease, she remained resilient, drawing strength from her faith and her love for those around her. Her generosity and grace will be remembered by all who knew her.
A private ceremony will take place at DFW National Cemetery in Dallas, TX, where LeeAnn will be interred.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2025 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m at the Lighthouse Church located at 3851 E. 1st St., Prosper, TX 75078.
A Celebration of Life will be on Sunday, January 5, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. at the Lighthouse Church, 3851 E. 1st St., Prosper, TX 75078.

Though LeeAnn is no longer with us, her legacy of love, faith, and strength will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
