10th annual GM5K fun run

"The Nevada Middle School Girl emPOWERment Club’s annual GM5K was Tuesday, May 15, 2018. This non-fundraiser event was the 10th fun run put on by the club for all Nevada Middle School girls, only they don’t have to run—walk, jog, or as 8th grader Hadley Bruce decided to do—skip! For 3.1 miles!! Many of the girls had never attempted a 5-kilometer event of any kind, and doing this in a friend non-competive environment can talk away from the initial intimidation of the length. Thanks to Mrs. Linda Douglas, RN, and her Practical Nursing students without whose help we would not be able to do this event!" - Dawn Jones, NMS school nurse
