The weight of the wet snow that fell across the area Monday night and into Tuesday morning, Feb. 26, 2013, caused the collapse of this awning on the east side of the Wilkinson Corporate offices building at the corner of Washington St. and Austin Boulevard in Nevada, Mo. Employee Mark Mendenhall said it came down during the night and if it hadn't hit a concrete post it would have damaged the air conditioning units. "It's just a mess," he said.
