These shots show a little of the progress that has been made on the third floor of the Nevada Public Library during the first week of work on the space which will house the Healthy Nevada Innovation Center and be home to Cerner during the five year project.

Workers from several different companies have made some big changes to the third floor of the Nevada Library during the first week of construction on the Healthy Nevada Innovation Center. Construction superintendent Sean Sims said all of the walls have been put up and work is progressing as Ernsbarger Heating and Cooling, Bill's Electric and Firebaugh Construction employees prepare the building for drywall. Work on what will be Cerner's base of operations for the Healthy Nevada Project began on March 20 and is expected to be complete in June.

On Monday March 25, carpenters for the Firebaugh Construction Company of Kansas City, Mo. cut, position and fasten plywood during work on the Healthy Nevada innovation Center on the third floor of the Nevada Public Library.

Employees of Ernsbarger Heating and Cooling of Nevada work at installing duct work in the ceiling of the Healthy Nevada Innovation Center on the third floor of the Nevada Library.

Electricians working for Bill's Electric from Webb City, Mo. install wiring on Monday, March 25, to prepare the Healthy Nevada Innovation Center being built on the third floor of the Nevada Public Library for sheetrock. Work is expected to be complete on the center in June of 2013.

Carpenters for the Firebaugh Construction Company of Kansas City, Mo. position plywood over an opening in the third floor of the Nevada Public Library on Monday, March 25, as part of the renovation of the space. The large opening in the floor was the uppermost point of a vehicle lift system that originated in the basement. The building was an automobile dealer in the 1920's and 30's and cars were lifted to the third floor for maintenance or repairs. The third floor is being renovated to house the Healthy Nevada Innovation Center which will be Cerner's home during the duration of the five year project.
