Mayor Tom Haddix presents Freda Betrice Flint the Grand Marshal award at the Schell City Fall Festival on Friday. Flint grew up near Dadeville, taught at Smith School near Lockwood and Golden City, and then began teaching in Schell City where she met and married Chester Flint. She worked in the business offices of Schell City School and NEVC for 34 years. Her family includes son, Larry of Harwood, son Roger of Shawnee, Okla., daugther, Karen Miller of Jefferson City, grandchildren, Larry Flint, Sara Kemper, Leo Flint, Mackenzie Miller and Reagan Miller.
