Several Nevada Police officers were promoted recently. Here are some photos of the badge pinning and swearing in ceremony.

Cpl. DeBruin has been with the Nevada Police Department since 2010. He is a graduate of the University of Central Missouri Police Academy. Cpl. DeBruin has also served our country as a member of the United States Air Force. Cpl. DeBruin has served as an assistant shift supervisor in patrol division since 2013. He is also a field training officer, CIT officer, Taser instructor, firearms instructor and firearms armorer. Cpl. DeBruin's badge was pinned by his daughter, Emily DeBruin. Officer Brian Hansen was promoted to corporal. Cpl. Hansen has been with the Nevada Police Department since 2008. He is a graduate of the University of Central Missouri Police Academy. Cpl. Hansen has also served our country as a member of the United States Marine Core. Cpl. Hansen has most recently been serving as an assistant shift supervisor and field training officer in patrol division. He is also a CIT officer, a police baton instructor and has served as a community oriented policing services officer. Cpl. Hansen's badge was pinned by his wife, Andrea Hansen. Officer Daniel Hayes was promoted to corporal. Cpl. Hayes has been with the Nevada Police Department since 2013. He is a graduate of the Missouri Southern State University Police Academy. Cpl. Hayes also serves our country as a member of the Missouri Army National Guard. Cpl. Hayes is also a CIT officer and police bike instructor. Cpl. Officer Amber Williamson was promoted from officer to sergeant. Sgt. Williamson has been with the Nevada Police Department since 2012. She is a graduate of the Drury University Police Academy. Sgt. Williamson is a previous police officer of the year award recipient and has received several awards for her work with Nevada Housing Authority. Sgt. Williamson is a CIT officer and has most recently served as a field training officer. Sgt. Williamson's badge was pinned by her mother, Kim Williamson. (Ralph Pokorny/Daily Mail)

Det. Sgt. Steve Bastow was promoted to Lieutenant, and his new badge is being pinned on by his mother Shirley Bastow. Lt. Bastow has been with the Nevada Police Department since 2001. He is a graduate of the Missouri Southern State University Police Academy. Lt. Bastow has served as the investigation division sergeant since 2013. He is an active shooter response instructor and firearm armorer. He has also served as our public information officer and coordinator of our Citizens Police Academy. Lt. Sgt. Westerhold has been with the Nevada Police Department since 2011. He is a graduate of the Missouri Southern State University Police Academy. Sgt. Westerhold has been transferred from his role as a sergeant in patrol division to his new assignment as the investigations division sergeant. Sgt.
