Johnson wanted in the alleged assault of a Missouri State Trooper
The Missouri State Highway Patrol is on the lookout for a suspect, who troopers believe assaulted Sgt. A.R. Raetz, on May 27, during an incident which began when Sgt. Raetz stopped a man along a Webster County roadway for a traffic violation. While Raetz ap-proached the vehicle, the driver attempted to run over Raetz. The impending investigation has identified Jay Andy Johnson as a suspect. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Johnson is a 36-year-old white male, 5 feet, 8 inches tall, 150 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. Johnson is currently wanted in Webster County for first degree tampering and is sought in the assault of Raetz. Johnson is possibly in possession of a stolen brown 1989 Ford Bronco, license number 823-FF9. If sighted, law enforcement officials recommend contacting the Missouri State Highway Patrol or your local law enforcement agency. Johnson is considered dangerous and a flight risk. The charges for which the above person is accused are mere accusations and not evidence of guilt. Evidence of guilt must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty it is to determine guilt or innocence.
