Nevada keglers face off in City Tournaments

WOMEN'S TOURNEY

The Nevada Women's Bowling Association held its Women's City Tournament on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 21-22, at the Capri Bowl Family Fun Center.

Under the guidance of Liz Leachman, WBA secretary, and a committee of Alana Gayman, Christy Carter and Tammy Diehl, the event marked the return of the tournament after an absence of several years.

Tournament sponsors included Hair Handlers, Henry Kraft, Young Computers and Small World Communications.

Tourney winners were as follows:

Team -- 1st-Capri Bowl, 2nd-Rock City.

Singles, handicap -- 1st-Tammy Diehl, 2nd-Bonnie McDaniel, 3rd-Cathy Simon.

Doubles, handicap -- 1st-Tommie Gragg/Simon, 2nd-Carolyn Hutchison/Misty Murrow, 3rd-Carol Dennison/Marg Ness.

All events, handicap -- 1st-Murrow, 2nd-Diehl, 3rd-Simon.

All events, scratch -- 1st-Murrow, 2nd-Simon, 3rd-Hutchison.

MEN'S TOURNEY

The Nevada Bowling Association held its annual City Tournament on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 14-15, at the Capri Bowl Family Fun Center.

Tourney winners were as follows:

Team -- 1st-Capri Bowl (Cliff McDaniel, E. W. Webb, Lorel Watts, Bill Jacks and Rodger Culbertson), 2nd-Murphy Farms (Dennis Diehl, Jerry Gilmore, Gary Good, Steve Leavell and Lynn Seibert), 3rd-RR Enterprises (David Little, Aaron Diehl, Ken Atkins, Deric Eaton and Robert Reynolds).

Singles, handicap -- 1st-Leemasters (626), 2nd-Dennis Diehl (625), 3rd-Atkins (620).

Doubles, handicap -- 1st-Leavell/Seibert, 2nd-Eddie Holland/Reynolds, 3rd-Leemasters/Anthony Wolf.

All events, handicap --1st-Seibert, 2nd-Leavell, 3rd-Chris Finley.

All events, scratch -- 1st-Leavell, 2nd-Reynolds, 3rd-Holland.
