Hume wins tourney games

The Hume Hornets and Lady Hornets both pulled off tournament wins in Hume Tuesday against Prairie View, Kan.
The boys won 65-31 behind a balanced attack that saw eight players score six points or more.
David Burns led the Hornets with 11 points, while Clayton Brooks added nine.
The Hornets jumped out to a 20-5 lead in the first period and never looked back.
James Brooks and Wyatt Hale each scored eight and Zach Terry scored seven, and three other players pitched in with six apiece.
The Lady Hornets won 53-21, after cruising to a 39-9 halftime lead.
Kayla Orear led Hume with 19 points, while Nicole Hinton scored nine and Janine Castillo had eight.
Hume will play Sheldon in the tournament Thursday at Hume.
Sheldon lost to Miami in both boys' and girls' action Tuesday.
The boys lost 69-54, while the girls fell 34-21.
