Chicago's Dave Tamkin will bring his own unique style of rhythmic-acoustic rock to the Cottey College campus on Friday, Feb. 18. He will be performing in the Missouri Recital Hall at 8 o'clock that evening.

Tamkin's style is based around a fresh musical vision. Promoters say it's a style that's young, refreshing, and hard to resist.

"His lyrics are unabashedly honest and his passion for playing is undying," a press release raved.

Tamkin has been the featured house act at Chicago's House of Blues for the last year; and some who have been in attendance bear witness to a unique stage show that bursts at the seams with positive energy, according to promoters.

No admission will be charged. The Recital Hall is in the Haidee and Allen Wild Center for the Arts, on the northeast corner of Austin and Tower Streets.
