The Nevada City Council will conduct a special meeting at noon today, in council chambers in the Public Safety Building, located at Ash and Austin streets in Nevada.
The meeting will be a brief, routine review and acceptance of the results of the March 8 primary election, which narrowed the field of candidates to be on the April 5 ballot for two seats on the city council.
Six candidates had thrown their hats into the ring in bids for the seats, and four of them will appear on the ballot in April.
The four candidates receiving the most votes in Tuesday's election are, from lowest to highest, are Van CeLaya, Larry DeLaney, Tim Moore and Bill Edmonds.
Two other candidates, Joe Kraft and Dick Meyers, lost their bids for seats on the council in Tuesday's election. A resolution of acceptance of the election results is the only item on today's agenda.
