The Calvary Christian School Eagles participated in the Blue Ridge Christian School Relays at Lee's Summit Friday.

There were 11 schools competing in the event.

The relays were held with four-person teams participating in the track events and three-person teams in the field events.

In the shot put, Calvary placed first with the team of Tyler Borders, Scott Borders and Devan Scougal.

Their combined throws totaled 107 feet, 6 1/2 inches.

In the triple jump, Tim Wallace, Scott Borders and Tyler Borders teamed up to also place first.

Their jumps totaled 106-8.

In the long jump, Wallace, Scougal and Scott Borders combined to leap 44-2 1/2.

Their total was good enough to place third.

In the discus Tyler Borders teamed with Scougal and Wallace to throw 259-6.

The 800-meter relay team of Wallace, Scougal, Scott Borders and Tyler Borders was second with a time of 1 minute, 46.44 seconds.

The team was edged at the finish line, losing by only .22 seconds.

The next meet for the team is Saturday at Grandview Christian School in Grandview.
