Betty Crockett
Betty Crockett, 74, Lamar, died June 12, 2005, at Truman Healthcare in Lamar.
She was born on Dec. 3, 1930, in Boise, Idaho, to Lester Vernon and Julia Ann (Strecker) McConnell. She married Robert (Bob) Crockett on May 17, 1949, in Pierce City, Mo., and he survives.
She was a wife and mother and had worked for Cottey College as a housekeeper for the library.
She is survived by her husband, Bob Crockett, of the home; two sons, Randall Crockett, of Lamar, and Rockwell Crockett, of Nixa, Mo.; one daughter, Roberta Belcher, of Webb City; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Mike and Stanley McConnell; and one sister, Eleanor Jones.
Services will be held at the Milford Christian Church in Milford, Mo., on Wednesday, June 15, at 2 p.m. Interment will be in the St. James Cemetery, in Barton County. Pallbearers will be Rocky Crockett, Randy Crockett, Rick Belcher, Jim Crockett, Zach Crockett, Kevin Crockett, Troy Nance and Allan Crockett.
Memorials are suggested to the Milford Christian Church building fund.
