Beverly Selman Heath
Beverly Selman Heath, 67, Lamar, died Sunday, June 19, 2005, at her home after a lengthy illness.
She was born on May 2, 1938, in East Point, Ga., the daughter of Nina and Jack Selman.
She is a 1956 graduate of W.A. Russell High School in East Point and a 1959 graduate of Crawford Long School of Nursing where she earned her RN degree. She served as a nurse for more than 40 years in many places and capacities, most recently at the Nevada Regional Medical Center. She was a member of the Community of Christ Church, she also served as an Elder.
She is survived by her husband, Les Heath; mother, Nina Helms, East Point, Ga.; three daughters, Rhonda Howell, Lamar, Tammy Cole, Mayhill, N.M., and Dawn Roberts, Lamar; one son, L. Wayne Heath, West Bend, Wis.; two sisters, Jackie Kintigh, Wilmington, N.C., and Rita Goebel, Durham, N.C.; one brother, Jimmy Selman, Jonesboro, Ga.; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, June 23, at the Daniel Funeral Home Chapel in Lamar. Interment will be in St. James Cemetery in Milford, Mo. Visitation will be 7-8 p.m., today, June 22, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
