Local health care facility celebrates Pride Week
Special to the Daily Mail
Garen Cox, president and CEO of Medicalodges, Inc., announced recently that Medicalodges will be celebrating the third annual Pride Week at Medicalodges, Inc.
Medicalodges has chosen the week of July 4-10 as a time to honor those individuals who have served their country such as our military, fire, police, nurses, doctors, teachers, and other volunteers committed to service.
"As we celebrate our country's birth, we should remember the residents, staff, neighbors, and friends who placed service above their own needs and unselfishly dedicated their service to the rights we celebrate," Cox said.
According to a press release, Medicalodges is the only 100-percent employee-owned nursing home company in America and is in the top 36 largest nursing facility operations.
Medicalodges is located in 42 different locations with skilled nursing facilities, home community based services, and/or assisted living operations.
Medicalodges is in its 44th year of partnering with long-term care workers and state and federal governments in Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.
Its 2,500 employees join in a celebration of what it truly means to be an American.
Cox urges all citizens to visit their local nursing facilities and assisted living facilities to thank those who have contributed to our country's rich heritage.
"America's nursing facilities are filled with one of our most valuable assets, our older citizens. Each and every one has contributed to our proud heritage."
