Griffons drop three

The Nevada Griffons dropped three out of four to the Hays Larks over the weekend, bringing their regular season to an end.

The Griffons lost the series opener Friday, 8-2.

Saturday the Larks swept a doubleheader from the Griffons, winning the first game 5-0, then taking the night cap 13-4.

The Griffons finished the season on a high note, taking an 8-7 decision in 12 innings from the Larks.

All four games were in Hays, Kan.

The Griffons finished the season with a 30-25 overall record, 17-23 in the Jayhawk League.

Hays is in first place in the league with a 24-11 record. They host Liberal for four games beginning today, needing only one victory to clinch the title.
