Calvary splits pair in visit to Springfield

The Calvary Christian Lady Eagles had a pair of volleyball matches in Springfield Friday, losing the first to the Heartland Mustangs but rebounding to defeat the hosting Christian Schools of Springfield.
Calvary lost the first match 25-18 and 25-6. Amber Goodwin led the Lady Eagles in scoring with 3 points. Other leaders in the first match were Kylie Kitsmiller with 9 assists, and Sha-Ree Chevalier with 8 kills.
In the win, Calvary notched a 25-22 and 25-20 decision.
Kitsmiller had 8 points and 8 assists in the second match. Chevalier had 8 kills and 6 points against the Warriors.
Rachelle Talley also had a productive two matches, as she contributed with 7 kills in each of the two contests.
Calvary improved their overall record to 4-2 this season.
Calvary was on the court again Tuesday and will be playing once again Monday as they host the Camden Crusaders from Camdenton.
