Sheldon voters to decide sales tax issue today

Sheldon voters will head to the polls today to cast their votes, to decide the fate of a city sales tax. If passed, it will be the first sales tax enacted in the city in years.

Sheldon Mayor Troy Denney has been actively promoting the tax, which will be used for a variety of infrastructure improvements, if voters give their approval today.
