Four injured in weekend traffic crash on Route M

Four people were injured when a 1995 Jeep driven by Sumer Ferguson, 26, Nevada, ran through a T intersection, hit an embankment on the far side of the intersection and overturned, according to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred at the junction of Route M and Route AA one mile west of Schell City at approximately 5:15 Sunday. According to a report filed by Trooper J. Baird the two children involved in the accident were wearing seat belts or were in car seats while the two adults were not wearing seat belts.

Injured in the accident were the driver, Ferguson with moderate injuries, 6-year-old Alexa Ferguson, Nevada, with minor injuries, 2-year-old William Rector, Nevada, with minor injuries and 24-year-old Sherry Rector, Rockville, with minor injuries. All of the victims were taken by ambulance to Nevada Regional Medical Center.
