Reception given by Professor Weltmer

One of the most delightful receptions ever given to the public was the "open house" given by the Weltmer Institute last night to which the citizens of Nevada were invited. Those present were the recipients of cordial welcome and were splendidly entertained. The reception was not only a source of much pleasure to the guests but must have brought genuine happiness to Prof. Weltmer, Mr. Becker and the members of the institute faculty, for it was very apparent that the large audience was in full sympathy with them and all wished unlimited success to the new organization.

Weltmer was given a splendid ovation and the name of Mr. Becker was greeted with a genuine and liberal applause of commendation.

Inspectors stop sale of eggs at two firms

Al Finster and Tom Nelson, State Department of Agriculture egg inspectors, announced today they had stopped the sale of eggs at two Nevada food stores and issued warnings to four others.

The inspectors declined to name the firms and pointed out that according to the Agriculture Department policy the names are not made public in the first instance and the merchants are given an opportunity to square themselves away in accordance with the law. They added however, that if the law is not complied as prescribed, charges are filed against the offenders.
