Clarence Frederick "Fred" Cox

Clarence Frederick "Fred" Cox, 83, Nevada, Mo., died Wednesday, April 26, 2006, at Medicalodge in Nevada. He was born Jan. 13, 1923, in Nevada, to Raymond Earl Cox and Louise Tracy Cox.

Fred was a graduate of Nevada High School and a lifelong resident of Nevada. He farmed with his father on the family farm west of Nevada. He was disabled for a number of years.

Survivors include one sister-in-law, Leila Cox, Nevada; numerous nieces and nephews including locally Don Cox, Bob Cox Jr., Kathy Cox, and Frances Cox. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Sam Cox, Elmo Cox, Bob Cox Sr., Lewis Kenneth Cox and one infant brother, Raymond Eldon Cox; also one sister, Violet Cox Butler.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., on Friday, April 28, at Newton Burial Park, Nevada, with John Nichols officiating. Friends may call now and until 10:30 a.m., on Friday, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada.
