Rogers to display work in Springfield exhibit

Tuesday, May 2, 2006

Linda Thury Rogers, watercolor artist from Nevada, has had a painting accepted into the Springfield Art Museum's Watercolor USA 2006. Watercolor USA is a national competitive exhibit with only about 90 paintings juried into the show out of nearly 1,000 entered this year. The exhibit will be on display from June 9 to Aug. 6.

Rogers has been painting since 1998 and is a member of the Arizona Watercolor Association, having lived in the Phoenix area for a time before moving to Nevada. She has also had works in the AWA and the Western Federation of Watercolor Societies shows. Above, Rogers displays the winning entry, a seal beneath the water. Rogers will be teaching watercolor classes for the adult education program at the Bowman building this fall.
