Two compete in Springfield meet
Two Nevada High School swimmers participated in the 28th annual Springfield Invitational Saturday.
Kristen Badgley placed second in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:02.18. She was also second in the 100 backstroke, with a time of 1:02.71, a new personal and school record.
Badgley scored 34 points by herself, enough to finish 15th out of 25 teams in the contest.
Claire Hissink also competed, placing 26th in the 100 freestyle with a personal record of 1:05.07. She was also 19th in the breaststroke with a 1:21.13.
The whole Tiger swim team will be in Webb City Thursday for the Southwest Conference Triangular.
After the triangular, Nevada will swim in the Southwest Missouri Championships in Springfield May 11 and May 13.
