Family tradition

Retired Navy Captain Sam Foursha swears in his son Ensign Andy Foursha in a private commissioning ceremony held before the formal Officers Candidate School commissioning exercises June 16. Foursha is one of 18 out of a class of 27 to complete the course held at the Naval Air Station in Pensacola, Fla. He will be stationed in Kansas City assisting in the recruitment of officers until he attends the Navy Supply School in Athens, Ga. As part of the graduation exercises Sam took part in a special graduation run with his son. At right, Cindy Foursha pins Andy Foursha's shoulder boards on during a private commissioning ceremony.
