Tigers host golfing skills clinic

The First Annual Nevada Tiger and Nevada Lady Tiger Golf Skills Clinic was held the week of July 10-14, with the assistance of several of the Nevada Tiger and Nevada Lady Tiger golfers.
The clinic attracted 22 children from ages 7-10, and nine youth from ages 11-14. The participants learned the basics of putting, chipping, driving, and the rules and etiquette of the game of golf. The first day of the clinic was held indoors at the Truman Elementary gym due to threatening weather in the area. The participants worked on the art of putting while indoors on the carpeted floor of the gym. The rest of the clinic took place at the Frank E. Peters Municipal Golf Course.
On Thursday, the participant took part in a putting contest. The winners are as follows:

On Friday, the participants competed in a tournament. The 7-10 year olds played on the Junior Course located on the Driving Range and consists of five holes ranging from 88 yards to 115 yards.
