Larry Dale "Abe" Abraham
Larry Dale "Abe" Abraham, age 55, of Nevada, Mo., died Friday, July 28, 2006, at Bates County Memorial Hospital in Butler, Mo. He was born April 4, 1951, to Leo Joseph and Etta Louise Wisdom Abraham in Clinton, Mo.
Larry, one of four children, grew up in the Ballard, Mo., community where he attended grade school and graduated from Ballard High School in 1969. He furthered his education at Central Missouri State College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in biology. Larry was a dedicated Conservation Agent of 32 years for the Missouri Department of Conservation serving in the counties of Audrain, Johnson, Buchanan, Camdenton and most recently for 14 years with Vernon County.
In the line of duty, Larry was known for his loyalty, perseverance, abiding by the ethics of his career and willingness to help in any situation. In addition, he was well respected by his co-agent in the field Larry's life revolved around his dedication and passion for his job as an agent and spending time with his children.
Larry is survived by a son, Ryan Abraham of Columbia, Mo.; a daughter, Jennifer Abraham of Centerton, Ark.; mother, Etta Lou Abraham of Butler; two brothers, Danny Abraham and wife Mary of Pleasanton, Kan., and Steve Abraham and wife Sara of Butler; a sister, Patty Plunkett and husband Ralph of Butler; several nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Leo J. Abraham in 1994.
Cremation memorial services will be Wednesday, Aug. 2, at the Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel, Butler, with Chris Burke officiating. Contributions to the American Cancer Society or Heartland Hospice.
