Junior golf tourney results

NEVADA, Mo. -- A junior golf tournament was held at Frank E. Peters Municipal Golf Course on Aug. 2.

There were 31 golfers who competed.

In the age 8-9 category, Isaac Long, of Monett, Mo., placed first with a 52. Nevada's Andrew Quitno was second with a 56 (nine holes).

In the age 10-12 division, Jacob Fair, also of Monett, won with a nine-hole 37. Grant Wolfe, Nevada, was second with a 40. Justin Ulher, of Fort Scott, Kan., shot 54 to take third.

In the age 13-15 category, Ryan Hillier, Lee's Summit, won with an 18-hole score of 84.

Chace Burris, El Dorado Springs, was second at 91.

Ross Wolfe, Nevada, was third with a 99.

Jess Coleman, El Dorado Springs, was fourth with 100.

In the age 16-18 division, Zach Braucher of Nevada won with an 86. Gordon Mitchell, Joplin, was second with a 91.
